Another Man

Absaroka County Sheriff Walt Longmire is called to the scene of the body of a young Vietnamese woman. I enjoyed reading this book and give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It might be tough to pick up this series mid-stream, but I would definitely recommend this book over the predecessors. Not sure if Johnson spent any time in Vietnam, but it seems he researched it well and his words made me feel it and see it. The two stories reflect on each other and weave together perfectly. One a flashback to Longmire's time in Vietnam, the other set it modern day. What I felt he did really well was combine two stories/mysteries. And, the story didn't feel as contrived and convoluted, so either it is better or I am just getting used to Johnson's style of writing.
